We will meet at the Skyline Marine Center in Anacortes, WA and take a 45-minute boat ride out to the preserve where we will be met by Matt Axling, who will take us on a walking tour of the island. The cost of the trip is $65 per person (non-tax deductible), which covers the charter boat to and from Yellow Island. If there is inclement weather that makes the boat passage and beaching at the island unsafe the trip may be postponed or cancelled.
The boat will get as close to the shore as possible, and we will use a ramp to disembark. We will explore the island for 2 hours then take the boat back to the marina. Terrain on the island is a well-worn single-track path that is slightly rugged with some small hills. If you have questions about accessibility, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. No wheels, food or pets allowed on the island. There are no restroom facilities on the island but there are facilities on the boat, accessible when the boat is underway.
