This TNC preserve protects longleaf pine sandhills sculpted with deep ravines and is one of the five most biologically diverse hot spots in North America. It’s a living laboratory for the development of restoration techniques and land management excellence. Decades of habitat restoration work across the preserve’s nearly 6,500 acres supported the reintroduction of the threatened eastern indigo snake. From 135 feet above the Apalachicola River, enjoy views like nowhere else in Florida during a guided hike to Alum Bluff.

We will be hiking the Garden of Eden trail which has two steep ravine crossings. Total elevation gain out and back is about 350 feet.
