Tell Congress: Protect Conservation Funding

As we mark Earth Day in April, Congress is already working on the next federal budget critical to the future for nature and people alike. We must continue urging Congress to preserve funding for conservation, climate and clean energy.

So much is on the line that is essential to our natural world and our way of life. Clean air and water. Precious natural places and wildlife habitat. Farms and forests.

Cutting this funding won’t just hurt our natural treasures — it will harm local communities, jobs and our national economy.

Stand with us now and tell Congress to protect this funding.

This message will be delivered to:

Your U.S. Senators

Your U.S. Representative

I urge you to support strong funding levels for conservation, climate and clean energy in the federal budget.

This funding has a tremendous return on investment: more jobs, stronger economies, cleaner air and water, more outdoor recreation opportunities, enhanced national security and reduced disaster risk.

I support making the federal government more efficient and more effective. However, reversing these investments would be a mistake, as it would halt our progress on achieving the nation's environmental, energy and economic goals. Congress and the administration must continue to back federal agencies with the necessary staff and funds needed to address the challenges facing communities and nature.
