Defend Public Lands

The latest public lands sell-off proposal in the Senate would require selling 2.2 million acres — about the size of all of Yellowstone National Park — across 11 states. We can't let this happen!

National parks, forests, wildlife refuges and other public lands in the United States are national treasures, and the backbone of conservation and the outdoor recreation economy. Any large-scale sell-off of these critical landscapes would be devastating and impact future generations.

Send your message to Congress now and tell your elected leaders that you oppose selling off federally owned public conservation lands for non-conservation uses. Speak up to keep these public lands in public hands.

This message will be delivered to:

Your U.S. Senators

Your U.S. Representative

I urge you to oppose any proposals for large-scale sell-off of public lands that are critical to conservation.

The federal government has a responsibility to care for these large natural landscapes and our country's lands, air and water while supporting communities prosperity. Public lands are critical drivers of local economies and the $1.2 trillion national outdoor recreation industry. Recent data shows that 79% of people agree that, "One of the things our government does best is to protect and preserve our national history and natural beauty through national parks, forests and other public lands."

Congress must continue to ensure that public lands stay in public hands.
