Sink your teeth into an evening of fabulous food and shark-themed fun! The Nature Conservancy and Black Eyed Susans restaurant are celebrating the three shark species—sand tiger, sandbar and smooth dogfish—that rely on New Jersey’s coastal salt marshes to survive. Join us for a September sendoff for these charismatic fish as they start their swim to warmer waters for the winter. (They’ll be back next summer!) Show some love for New Jersey’s sharks and the grassy habitats they rely on. Come and enjoy:
- Wine, beer and shark-themed signature drinks
- Cocktail hour with appetizers and shark-cuterie board
- Gourmet dinner with options for meat eaters and vegetarians, plus dessert and coffee/tea
- Remarks and conversation with marine conservationists about local shark research and New Jersey’s salt marsh restorations
- New Jersey shark trivia with prizes
- Instagrammable shark photo station
- Raffle including exclusive outings for shark-tagging next summer
- Event tote bag filled with shark and Nature Conservancy swag for all guests
Event is open to guests 21+. Please note that the venue is located on the restaurant’s second floor and is not equipped with an elevator.
