Discover a new way to experience this TNC preserve—by canoe! Home to over 1,000 species of plants and animals, its diverse habitats include cypress swamp, freshwater marsh and forests of scrub, oak hammocks and longleaf pine flatwoods. Join us for a paddle out onto the tranquil, 540-acre Lake Russell, surrounded by wildlife and old-growth bald cypress trees. Fed by Reedy Creek from the north, the lake is one of the last undeveloped lakes in Central Florida and its waters continue south through a vital freshwater network that the Everglades needs to survive.
Activity: Guided canoe tour
Cost: $15 per person
Fee is non-refundable and includes light breakfast and canoe.
Additional Information: Exact times will be confirmed in trip details shared approximately one month prior. In the event of severe weather, we will try to schedule an alternate date. Note that TNC's Disney Wilderness Preserve is not located near the theme parks.
