Event Details
The Nature Conservancy in Maine, on behalf of The Magalloway Collaborative, invites you to join us in Rangeley for our annual Happy Hour for Nature. Come meet fellow nature-enthusiasts and enjoy an evening of conservation over light bites and libations. This year, we will come together to learn about a historic partnership and the progress made to protect 78,000 acres encompassing the treasured lands and waters around the Magalloway River in Western Maine - lands and waters that are right in Rangeley's backyard.
The Magalloway Collaborative
In the heart of the Northern Appalachians likes a unique place that has sustained human and natural communities for millenia. This area glimmers with sweeping water features, including 170 miles of rivers and streams, over 2,400 acres of wetlands and crystal-clear lakes. When conserved, this project will effectively connect half a million acres of contiguous consered lands to the and west, a historic accomplishment for the region.
Recognizing the irreplaceable value of this place and unprecedented opportunity, four conservation organizations have joined forces - The Magalloway Collaborative - to permanently protect it.
