Tell Minnesota Lawmakers to Act for Nature in 2026

A man wearing a hat and standing on a boardwalk in the middle of a forest looks up at tree branches.

State investments in nature have never been more critical. That’s why we’re asking you to tell your Minnesota state lawmakers that you want to see policies and public funding address the rapidly declining diversity of species and our changing climate.

Add your name to the list to let them know you support ambitious public policy and funding enacted at the state level to benefit people and nature.

It’s time to invest in forests and water

Dear Lawmakers,

As you return to the Capitol for the legislative session, I am writing to urge you and your fellow lawmakers to take action to invest in nature in 2026.

Our natural resources are our common ground, providing numerous benefits for clean air and water, wildlife habitat and outdoor recreation.

I ask you to support a capital investment package that includes $18 million for reforestation, forest stand improvement, and response to pests threatening our forests like emerald ash borer and spruce budworm, as well as $9 million for water storage projects.

Thank you for your commitment to nature in 2026 and your service to the State of Minnesota.
