We're excited to be launching our Nature Engagement Leader role and would love to have you apply to help connect people with nature as a Nature Engagement Leader with The Nature Conservancy in Washington! 

Nature Engagement Leaders (NEL) are volunteers who host at least three events each year between June and November at TNC preserves. These events can range from nature walks, art‑in‑nature activities, birding, to beach cleanups, or on occasion support volunteer work parties. Volunteer leaders will have opportunities to create events tailored to their skills, experience, and interests. NEL volunteers may lead events independently or with fellow volunteers and will report to the Washington Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager. 

Join us for an info session to learn more about what the role entails, ask any questions on your mind, and listen in on questions from other interested volunteers. These info sessions are great for anyone curious about the role but who wants to hear more before submitting their application.

Info Session Dates & Times

• Thursday, April 16th - 7:00pm - 8:00pm
• Monday, April 20th - 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Additional Information:

• Interested volunteers are welcome to join for as long or as little as they can for either of these info sessions. 
• Both will be virtual and will be hosted via Zoom. A Zoom account is not required to join. Participants can join from either a phone or a computer, though a computer will offer the best interface.
• We will be providing closed captioning.
• Directions for how to join a Zoom call will also be shared in advance of the sessions.
• Participation in an info session is optional and is not required in order to apply.
