EVENT DETAILS
The Clymer Meadow Preserve near Celeste, Texas, began with a 300-acre purchase by The Nature Conservancy in 1986. In the decades since, the preserve has expanded to nearly 1,500 acres and protects one of the largest and last remaining remants of the Blackland Prairie. This tallgrass prairie provides diverse offerings of wildflowers, wildlife, woodlands and wetland habitat.
Come learn about the history of this project site while exploring the wonders of a historic native prairie in spring. We will tour parts of the preserve, followed by a lightly catered lunch and remarks from our new State Director, James McGuire.
