Event Details
Neighboring the hamlet of Tupper Lake, Follensby is a 14,600-acre property protected under The Nature Conservancy's stewardship and easements held by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. This awe-inspiring landscape holds significant natural, cultural and scientific value, serving as an extraordinary example of what we can accomplish together. Join us on a guided exploration of the unique ecosystems of the Follensby Research Preserve as we retell the stories that have shaped this beautiful landscape.
Participants will paddle in the provided lightweight canoes and use provided paddles and lifejackets. Time on water is approximately 1.5 hours. While water activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions, this is a rain or shine event.
