Protect Communities from Wildfire

Wildfires continue to grow more destructive — threatening forests, wildlife, communities and the air we breathe. Overgrown vegetation, drought and a changing climate are causing fires to increase in frequency and severity.

Right now, Congress is making decisions that will shape how we meet this crisis. Without bold action, we cannot keep up with the scale of today's wildfires or protect communities from what's ahead.

Stand with us now and tell Congress to strengthen funding and programs that reduce wildfire risk. Your message can help manage forests, safeguard wildlife and protect communities before the next fires start.

This message will be delivered to:

Your U.S. Senators

Your U.S. Representative

I urge you to strengthen federal funding and programs that reduce wildfire risk and protect communities and increasing investments in forest restoration and wildfire prevention.

Wildfires are becoming more severe and more destructive, putting lives, homes, forests and wildlife at risk.

Proven solutions exist. Restoring forest health and expanding the use of prescribed fire can reduce wildfire intensity, protect public health and improve wildlife habitat. Strong federal investment is essential to scaling these solutions — and four in five U.S. voters support increased federal investment to proactively reduce the threat and intensity of wildfire.

Please act now to address this crisis. I urge you to provide the funding and coordination needed to reduce wildfire risk and protect communities across the country.
